As part of Rappahannock’s 150th birthday celebration, a five-part lecture series examining the cultural heritage of the county has been set. With an eye to the future, Rappahannock will look at her past with historians, native residents and newcomers who have chosen the county for their home.
The first presentation in this series is entitled “150 Years-An Overview”, given by Robert Jacobs, a professional researcher and professor of history at James Madison University and chairman of the social studies department at Fauquier High School. He brings not only a historical knowledge of the county, but will also be looking at the constant change verus the constant strength of the land.
