WHEN RAPPAHANNOCK was the “extreme frontier”, the Strother Chapel in Tiger Valley was used by circuit riding clergy as a “chapel of ease” where they would hold services and teach school. Sunday the Rev. Jennings Hobson from Trinity Episcopal used a Colonial prayer book during dedication the new monument at The Oaks. The unveiling was performed by Ann Keyser.
