Tornado of
1980
ON APRIL 14, 1980, a tornado touched down in the Castleton - Woodville area of Rappahannock. It’s funnel lifted the roof off Harry Clarkson’s barn and toppled a utility pole and power lines onto a passing truck. No one was injured. Debris from Clarkson’s bam were tangled in the pear tree in photo at left.
