Regarding Kid well 3 rehash of her testimony about why she shot Ranee: Apart from the effrontery of her attempt to retry the case in the newspapers, surely Kidwell must know that in the courtroom was a large contingent of people who were shocked by the verdict and who believed the prosecutor had made a strong case for murder, or at the least, voluntary manslaughter. They, too, heard the testimony. Plenty of people deeply believe that this verdict was a grave miscarriage of justice.
And, oh yes, once again Ranee Spellman isn’t here either to rebut her or to defend his reputation. A study of the testimony reveals so many omissions and discrepancies, and raises so many questions that one has every right to ask: who lied, and who had the greatest motive to lie?
