The planning commissioners struggled with wording of a requested zoning ordinance amendment at Wednesday night’s session, trying to come up with a change that will allow Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crane to build an addition to their, non-conforming Flint Hill home.
Zoning administrator David Konick reported that the Crane’s house is less than 75 feet from the centerline of the road, the setback stipulated by zoning regulations. They want to build a side addition that won’t extend further toward the road than the house does nowr, according to Konick.
He noted, however, that the ordinance specifies that if a non-conforming use is extended, enlarged or relocated, it must conform to the regulations, specifically those on setback.
