Nutty Pumpkin Cookies 'A cup shortning 1 cup flour VA teaspoon cinnamon 'A teaspoon mace V2 cup raisins 1 cup walnuts lA cup sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder
legg 3 drops almond flavoring 1/8 teaspoon ginger 1 cup uncooked pumpkin, canned or fresh Cream shortening. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well; blend in flavoring. Sift flour and baking powder; resift, adding a dash of salt. StiP in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart on buttered baking sheet, flatten with fork and bake in preheated 400 degree oven about 15 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
