The perfect holiday gift for someone who has everything is on exhibit in Flint Hill.

It’s better than anything in the Niemann Marcus catalogue.

It’s the Wjllie Gentry special prize-winning 25 horsepower steam engine. The novel machine carries a price tag of $6,000, according to Willie’s wife Barbara, who explains that he has $1,500 in parts and welding invested in it as well as three years of labor.

Willie horse-traded it off someone in Luray, Barbara says, then tinkered around with it for a couple of years just because he likes steam engines.
