House Tour
The Hillsboro Community Association, Inc., will hold its annual Christmas House Tour on Saturday, December 10, 1:00-8:00. Admission is $8.00. The tour will include 18th and 19th century homes decorated for the holidays. All proceeds from the tour go toward renovating the Old Stone School, which is used for the community center.
Hillsboro is located on Route 9, seven miles west of Leesburg, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C. area.
Guitar Concert
The student guitar ensemble of Winchester’s Shenandoah College and Conservatory, a group specializing in music ranging from the renaissance to contemporary, will perform in free concert on Monday, Nov. 28, in Goodson Recital Hall at the college at 8:20 p.m.
The eight-member ensemble, directed by Glenn Caluda, assistant professor of guitar, will play selections by Bach, Telemann, and Gragnani. Members of the student flute ensemble also will participate in the recital in the performance of “Pavanne” by Faure and the Pachelbel “Canon.”
