“I’d like for us to do better in post season play,” said the RCHS coach this week. “If we’re going to lose, I’d like to lose at the beginning of the season. A good record doesn’t mean much if we lose three out of four at the end,” he said, adding that he’d be satisfied with a 10-10 record and victory in the regional tournament.
“Anybody can take it once the district tourney starts,” said Dawson, noting that both the regular season winner and the tournament winner advance to regionals. “That’s when I hope we’ll be playing our best ball. If we go .500 and we’re playing our best ball at the end of the season, we’re going to be tough to beat in the regionals,” the coach maintained.
