Hosts Musical Groups
Various area churches will be participating in a time of fellowship and singing at the Amissville United Methodist Church on Saturday, December1 3 at 7:30 p.m.
The featured groups will be from the Woodville Baptist, Mt. Lebanon Baptist, Washington Baptist and Open Door Baptist Church.
A covered dish dinner will precede the program at (> p.m. “Kveryone is invited to come out and worship with us, bring a covered dish and enjoy the evening,” said a church spokesperson.
RCHS Christmas Concert
The RCHS music department will present its annual Christmas concert on December 8 at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The mixed chorus, directed by Judy Bomberger, will perform a variety of carols and the eighth grade chorus will add a special touch bv ringing hand chimes. The band, directed by Kathy Hewitt, will also perform several selections.
The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.
Benefit Dinner
Volunteers from the Amissville Fire Department and Rescue Squad will don aprons and head for the kitchen this Saturday, December 3, to prepare a ham and oyster supper. Cost will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Supper will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. at the fire hall.
Holiday Flea Market
Highland School in Warrenton will hold a Christmas Flea Market on Saturday, December 3. from 10a.m. to 3 p.m.
The public is invited to browse through the collectibles, ornaments, paintings, quilts, plants, crafts and food for early Christmas shopping.The flea market will be held in the gymnasium of Highland School, located behind the Northern Virginia Shopping Center in Warrenton.
