Gaylord Butler
Retired Farmer
Gaylord Butler, age 82, of Sperryville, died on Sunday, November 27, 1983, at Culpeper Health Care Center.
A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Butler was born on November 24, 1901. He was a retired farmer and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Butler of Sperryville; one daughter, Pauline Starks of Maryland; two sons, Robert L. Butler of Sperryville and Charles P. Butler of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Starks of Woodville; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville, by the Rev. U.S. Brokenburr. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Remains will be placed in the church from noon to the hour of service.
Marshall Funeral Service in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
