Konick explained that the store is located within an agricultural zone and needed permission since it is in a nonconforming use now. The board agreed that there is sufficient parking for the new business and approved the permit. They also granted permission for Fisher to place an ironframed two by three feet advertising sign in front of the store now and possibly another on the outside of the building later.
Sursum Corda
Sursum Corda received a special use permit to build the new day care center on Route 211 in the Hampton District near Ginger Hill. Building chairman Lois Manookian told the board the highway department has approved access onto the property. She added that she would expect to work out plans later for a deceleration lane. The child care and learning center will be built on the north side of Route 211, Manookian said; the highway department plans to add a lane on the south side.
Manookian told the board that the center will provide 25-30 parking spaces and is seeking a state license to teach up to 45 children. The maximum staff would eventually be 15 with
