With all that help, how can it go wrong? Brand makes no predictions for the coming season, pointing to her team’s lack of experience. “There are a lot of things we don’t know how well we’ll react to until we’re in a game,” she noted. “There’s only one other new team in the Bull Run District and that’s Clarke. The rest — Brentsville, George Mason, Strasburg and Stonewall — have established programs.
“I’m not aiming for any particular mark in our first season,” coach Brand said. “I’ll be satisfied if my girls learn to play power volleyball as a team.”
