Mrs. Frances Thornton of Sperryville and Mrs. E. M. Jones were Saturday visitors of Mrs. Churchill Jones in Richmond and attended a play at the Virginia Museum Theatre. They spent the remainder of the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson at Fork Union.

Miss Mary Miller Wood and Mrs. Alice R. Wood were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Reeve and family. Mrs. Lillian Kendrick of Culpeper visited Mrs. Wood in the afternoon.

Mrs. Linda Jenkins of Culpeper and Reid Payne of Flint Hill were Mother’s Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne. Afternoon visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Payne of Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Campbell and Harry Deal of Culpeper were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell. Monday callers in the Campbell home were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lockheart of Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dwyer in Woodbridge. On Saturday they attended the wedding of the Dwyer’s granddaughter, Kimberly Lee Bell to Steven Mark Himmelberger at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Woodbridge. The reception was held at the Dwyer’s home.

Mrs. L. J. Turner spent the Mother’s Day weekend with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Dewhirst, Ann Dudley and Scott in Richmond.

Mr. and Mrs. George Raymond Jenkins, Mrs. Susan Fitzgerald and daughter, Sarah Elizabeth of Suffolk spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Mary V. Updike, who returned home on Saturday after being a patient at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, for several weeks. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. George W. Jenkins in Sperryville.

Ms. Martha Alther of Front Royal spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lindstrom.

Edith Parsons and Alice Cameron of Toronto, Ontario, Canada spent last week here with Ms. Parsons’ brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews. Last Sunday they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Clark Crews, Eric and Lorissa in Manassas in celebration of Eric’s ninth birthday.

Mother’s Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews were Mr. and Mr. J. Clark Crews, Eric and Lorissa of Manassas, Ms. Kathahne Wells of Arlington and Herman Baber of Camp Springs, Md. Afternoon visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Worrel.

Mrs. Pauline Hershey will leave today (Thursday) for her home in Bristol, Pa. after spending a week here with her mother, Mrs. Charles C. Burke. Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Hershey were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Burke in Front Royal. On Sunday Mrs. Burke and her houseguest were luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Burke of
