Robert Thompson told Judge John Alexander he didn’t know why the police said he was driving on a suspended license since he never had a license before. Sergeant Todd Brown of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department told the Judge that when they submitted Thompson’s Social Security number to Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Richmond it came back as license suspended; when the Sheriffs office submitted Thompson’s birth date, DMV reported his permit revoked. Or the other way around. In any event, case dismissed, owing to computer error.
