At the last Supervisors’ meeting, William H. Young was appointed by the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors as a new trustee of the Rappahannock County Library to fill the expired term of Grace Sims who in turn became the County Librarian in April.
Dr. Young will bring to the five-person Board of Trustees of the Library his broad experience on many civic, governmental and professional, as well as medical boards, and his proven energy and ability in tapping financial resources and implementing programs that have enhanced the institutions with which he has been associated.
For more than 20 years Dr. Young was a resident of Alexandria where he was active in civic affairs. In particular, he served as chairman of the Alexandria Jail Committee, a charter member of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Advisory Committee and was a director for the Alex
