Fire and Rescue dinner and dance

The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association will hold its annual dinner and dance on Friday, January 10, at the Sperryville fire hall. Dinner will be served from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by the dance from 9 to 1 a.m.

All members are urged to attend and are asked to bring a large covered dish.

January 15-16-17 — Virginia Turfgrass Conference to be held at the Richmond Marriott.

Puppet workshop

The Child Care and Learning Center is sponsoring a puppet workshop given by Maggie Rogers. The date will be set for late January or early February.

Flexercise classes

A six-week series of flexercise classes will be held January 13 through February 19. Classes will meet Mondays at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock Elementary School and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Washington Recreation Center.

Class fee is $20 for once a week and $25 for twice a week. These classes focus on muscle toning and stretching.

(Registration deadline for ski trip

The registration deadline is January 10 for the next Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department sponsored trip, a one-day ski trip to Massanutten Village in Virginia’s own beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
