In another action, the supervisors re-appointed Frances Thornton to the Community Services Board.
$l,122.50 was transferred from the general fund of the Rappahannock County School Board to the school board fund. The money had been raised by selling used equipment.
The Board went into exeuctive session to interview another applicant for the county Zoning Administrator position. A final decision has not been reached.
Governor’s
School
Two Rappahannock County High School students have been nominated for the Governor’s School for « the gifted to be held this summer at centers including VPI, Radford, Mary Baldwin College and NASA Space Center at Langley.
Jonathan Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Pendleton, of Sperryville, is an honor student and member of the RCHS Pop Quiz team. He has applied for admission into the program to be held at the NASA Space Center.
Edward Welch, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Welch, of Flint Hilly is <&lso an honor student as well as a fine artist. He has applied for the visual arts school.
The Governor’s School for the gifted is deigned to provide intellectually challenging^ and efiriching experiences for a limited number of juniors and seniors who are academically gifted or artistically talented.
