idan Planning District, told the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors Monday that the Sperryville sewer project is currently about 80 to 85 percent complete “but not in terms of servicing individual properties.”
Installing septic tanks and installing lines to the system will be the final phase of the project. He said that this part of the project is “under 50 percent complete — fortunately it moves rather quickly; it’s about a four month job.”
“Property owners will soon talk with the project inspector about placement of septic tanks,” he said.
Mr. Cilimberg said that a user fee has yet to be established but that the fee would be a cost based on a proposed budget divided by the number of tanks. The budget, he. said, has not been finalized. Commercial users will absorb a higher cost because of greater use.
Mr. Cilimberg presented the supervisors with a “substantially final” draft of the proposed sewer ordinance. This ordinance will be subject to a public hearing to be advertised later in January. This hearing will consist of a joint meeting of the Water and Sewer Authority and the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors. The tentative date for that meeting is February 6 at 7:30 p.m.

This was the theme song of our nation way back when. At Christmas time this was still the cry in a number of Rappahannock homes. As usual the Amissville Ruritan club provided help and joy to 46 homes and individuals in need of a caring hand.
As the Ruritans close another year of community activity, President Louis Jenkins expressed the appreciation felt by all club members to Rappahannock friends and patrons who have given support to their annual sale of fruit cakes.
Future plans call for further development of the attractive eight acre tract given by Mrs. L. B. Stuart last year. Numerous requests have been made for a safe area in which to jog. A track for this purpose will be prepared circling the two ball fields, which the club maintains for a number of Little League baseball teams in the spring. Jenkins reminda^all Ruritan friends of the 25th annual barbecue scheduled for later this summer.
