Virginia wine grower seminar
A two day short course program is planned for February 15 and 16 at the Boars Head Inn in Charlottesville. The program is designed to explore the viticultural and enological aspects of Virginia Chardonnay production.

Vegetable seminar
There will be a Northern Virginia Vegetable Seminar on Tuesday, February 25 at the Charles Monroe Vo-Tech Center in Leesburg, rhe seminar will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Quilt show coming
On Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Catholic Women’s Council of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Main Street, Culpeper, will be having a Quilt Show. There will be demonstrations, displays, entry judging and sales. Anyone who is interested in participating, or renting a merchants’ area table, can obtain information by calling Kathy at 825-6380.
Admission is $2 for 12 years and older. There will be nursery service available at $.50 per hour, per child. Lunch will be sold from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Organic Farming meeting
A Organic Farming meeting is planned for March 1 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center.

Germanna Nursing Program
The Germanna Community College Nursing Program is now accepting applications for entry into the program. The Nursing program is a two-year, full-time day course which prepares graduates to qualify to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Virginia registered nurses. Graduates of the program receive an Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in nursing.
The deadline for applications to be received at the Germanna campus in February 14.
Honeybee seminar
A Beginners Honeybee seminar will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Culpeper Extension Office, 101 S. West Street, Culpeper, across from the Courthouse.

Anniversary celebration
The 26th district council Order of the Eastern Star’s P.H.A. will celebrate their 18th anniversary at the Quality Inn in Front Royal on March 22 at noon. Guest speaker will be past master, Robert G. Davis of Clifton Forge. Admission is $15. Rachael Aylor is chairperson.
Hugo’s softball schedules meeting
The Southern Fauquier Recreation Association is having any organizational meeting February 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Hugo’s Skateway in Bealeton.
The Men’s League will take 16 teams and have a 30-game schedule planned from May 5 through August 26. Women who are interested in organizing a Women’s League are asked to attend the meeting. For further information please call Stan Settle at 439-8536.
