Cooper Jenkins
Cooper Ashby Jenkins, 87, of Culpeper, died Friday, February 7, 1986, at his residence. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Rappahannock County and a retired foundry employee.
He is survived by four sons, Irvin G. Jenkins, John W. Jenkins and George E. Jenkins, all of Culpeper and Jesse S. Jenkins, of Richmond; six daughters, Ethel G. Wayland, of Fredericksburg, Dollie Fincham, Anna Covington and Florine Hitt, all of Culpeper, Virginia Winn, of Richmond and Mary Tovar, of Florence, Arizona.
Additional survivors include a brother, Conner Jenkins, of Slate Mills; and a sister, Vennie Jenkins, of Culpeper; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 9, at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating, with interment in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
