As the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community begins its yearly search for new members, it also begins its sixth year of defying many of the limits of a sparse population. RAAC’s theater
has remained open as theaters in much larger communities have folded; its workshops for both school children and adults accomplish privately what many communities accomplish with tax dollars; and its live programs present a wide selection of quality entertainment to a wide selection of rural people.
