The RCES SPTA was pleased to begin its February meeting with the introduction of two new members, Christopher Sutton, 6th grade representative and Heidi Maeyer, 7th grade representative. They will be responsible for conveying the opinions, needs and desires of the student body to the organization.
Chris Sutton made a request for repair of the existing backstop at the baseball field and the addition of an overhead screen, as well as more newspaper coverage of student events.
The present status of many ongoing projects was heard, with special thanks going out to Mary McGrail for another successful Parent/Teacher Conference dinner, Pat Lawler for the much needed reproducing service for the teachers and to Edie Clark for organizing the January sock-hop. Another dance is being planned for March.
The sign for the school awaits final approving from the zoning board, and the plans for the playground project and its funding drive are currently being reviewed by the school board.
