There are no regular classes at Wakefield this week as the school observes its annual Winter Sports Weeks. This welcome mid-winter break comes on the heels of the exams which concluded the 3rd grading period.
Over 170 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, the largest number ever, are involved this year in the school’s six day ski program at Bryce Mountain Resort. Organized into twenty-one levels of instruction from young beginner to advanced, the students attend ski school in the mornings and have the afternoons free for skiing.
In addition to the students, many parents also participate in the 1 school’s ski ^program, now in its 9th , year. The highlight of the week will be the racing competitions followed by the annual banquet and awards ceremony. <
