Tax liabilities of the school system was the primary focus of the resolution which indicates that such liabilities will exceed $110,000 next year. The resolution further states that “there will be revenue losses at the schools for the steady and continual decline in enrollments, which could even cost us on the order of $40,000 in revenues in this current year.”

The resolution states that teachers have asked for salaries that will cost the county $213,000 in new taxes for next year.

“The high school improvement plan, once underway, will require on the order of $75,000 for interest, and $75,000 for principal, totaling $150,000 per year in new local taxes,” the resolution states.
