‘Heart of the Garden’ Heart of the Garden will be shown at the Gay Street Theatre in Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14. A discussion with director Lavinia Currier will immediately follow the screening. Admission is $5 for general public, $4 for RAAC members and $3 for students. 4-H Share-the-Fun contest The 4-H Share-the-Fun contest will be held March 17 from 3:30 — 5 p.m. at Rappahannock Elementary {School. Beauty contest to be held The 1986 Miss Rappahannock Beauty Contest will be held Friday, April 4 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Rehearsal will be Wednesday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m. Contestants between the ages of three and high school seniors may register. There will be a $10.00 registration fee. Each contestant is asked to try to find their own sponsor; if one can not be found the Sperryville Rescue Squad will provide one. The annual event is sponsored by the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Proceeds will go to the ambulance fund. For further information contact Joan Jenkins at 987-8107 after 4:00 p.m.
Fodderstack 10KM Race The annual Fodderstack 10KM classic race will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. The race begins in Flint Hill on Route 522 and ends at the courthouse in Washington, via the Fodderstack Road.
