To the editor:
I’m responding to your February 27th editorial as a former teacher in Rappahannock, currently raising children.
I found it surprising that you never mentioned the children in your editorial on teachers’ salary coritplaints. The children are the whole point.
I found it disturbing that you attempted to set people apart from one another, pitting farmer against teacher; teacher against taxpayer. I will remind you that all teachers are taxpayers and that the Rappahannock school system has many teachers who are married to farmers.
