Individual donations of five dollars and up may be made by mailing a donation to Rappahannock County Elementary School SPTA, Sperryville, VA 22740.
“The Pickle Jar method is comparable to “Jerry’s Kids” jars in 7-11 stores. Hopefully, they will be placed in each country store in Rappahannock County,” said Mrs. Rogers.
Other contributions of time given by students, parents, and teachers for construction are needed, she explained. Donations of supplies by individuals and businesses and the loan of equipment and tools will be helpful. Especially needed are cement mixers, tractors, tillers, and trucks with drivers. “Just think!” exclaimed Mrs. Rogers. “If every student sells one board, that would make a grand total of three thousand dollars. What a terrific playground that will build. We can do it!”
