Most of the 18 people who attended the Rappahannock County School Board meeting on Tuesday night, which included time for public response to the superintendent’s proposed budget, spoke in favor of raising beginning teachers salaries. Everyone who spoke sought increases.
Robert Estabrook, Rappahannock County School Superintendent, began the meeting by reading a resolution passed by the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors which declares that the school budget must be trimmed by the school board in light of Gramm-Rudman legislation and cdunty budget considerations. Mr. Estabrook indicated that the letter may be of use to those at the meeting for the formulation
