All of the hymnbooks were given to the church either anonymously or in memory of a past member. “The response was tremendous,” said Mr. Hobson. He also stated that no money had to be taken from the church’s general fund for the project. Mr. Hobson explained that early ordering also saved money because of a reduced per-copy price. Referring to the United States, Mr. Hobson said, “I have .heard that the hymnals were the largest order that UPS ever delivered.”
He said that Trinity Episcopal Church chose Sunday, March 16, on which to introduce “The Hymnal 1982” in order to give the congregation time to become acquainted with the new.hymnbook before Easter.

basketweaving
A basketweaving workshop will be held Wednesday, March 26th (just in time for Easter) at the Middle Street Gallery Artists Cooperative in Washington, Virginia. , The one day workshop will be devoted to completing an Appalachian Melon Basket with a wild grapevine handle and natural dyed splints. The session will last from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $45 and includes all materials.
