During Rappahannock County General District Court on Tuesday, Robert Dwayne Bowers was found guilty of lending his hunting license to his father Robert Leroy Bowers. Robert Leroy Bowers was found guilty of borrowing a hunting license.
Lee Haupt of the Virginia Game Commission testified that the incident began with an illegal hunting violation occurring in Culpeper County. According to Mr. Haupt, the incident “spilled over” into Rappahannock County because a deer was brought in to be weighed at the Blue Ridge Gun Shop in Amissville.
Judge William Carson fined each of the men $50.
