Revival at Slate Mills “Good News America, God Loves You” is revival theme of the Southern Baptist Convention during March and April of 1986. The Slate Mills Baptist Church will have revival services beginning Sunday, March 16 and continue through Friday evening, March The Rev. John S. Farrar, former pastor of the Culpeper Baptist Church will be guest evangelist for the week. “He is a man of vast experience, and though in retirement, he is still active in the ministry serving as an interim at the Bealeton Baptist Church and will inspire your life to greater Christian living,” said Harold Eaton, pastor of Slate Mills. Special music is being planned for each service beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly and the congregation and pastor extend a cordial invitation to the public to attend.
