An “innkeepers financial analysis” sheet was distributed highlighting the direct and indirect monetary benefits of an inn operation. Another financial sheet was also given that was useful for the determination of room rates. That sheet stated that the inn shoulc realize a profit within the first five years; businesses that fail usually do so within the first six months.
Networking, the concept of one inn owner helping another, was promoted. Not every inn will appeal to all types of persons and if there is an incompatibility the guest is to be recommmended to another establishment. Obviously that concept also works well when there are “no rooms at the inn.”
