needed title to the land in order to get a mortgage so he could pay off a "bridge loan” which is due. If he doesn’t repay the loan, the lender will jack up his modular house, load it on a trailer and haul it away, Mr. Frazier told the supervisors.
"This is a transition thing from the old ordinance to the new,” noted Supervisor J. Newbill Miller. “We’re going to have some of these cases .. . The trouble is, he’s in an emergency situation, but we have to advertise and hold a public hearing before we can grant a special use permit.”
“Is there somebody we can call and explain the situation to?” the zoning administrator offered, asking for the name of the bank which holds the loan. Mr. Frazier didn’t answer.
“Would the man actually come in and pick your house up?” asked Supervisor Estes.
“He would stand to make about $40,000 on the deal, so I expect he’d . do it,” Mr. Frazier replied.
“You must have put a lot of money into it,” noted Supervisor A1 Henry.
“I’ve paid for it (the modular residence),” said Mr. Frazier, adding
