Geoghegan
Thomas Dolan Geoghegan, 69, who was a news media representative with the U.S. Steel Corp. for nearly 30 years before retiring in 1962, died of cancer Jan. 27 at Georgetown University Hospital. He lived in Chevy Chase and also maintained a residence in WoodviUe.
Mr. Geoghegan was bom in Milwaukee and attended the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University. He moved to the Washington area in 1942 and worked briefly for the ' National Broadcasting Corp. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces in Europe as a combat correspondent.
After the war, he returned to NBC and also worked for the American Broadcasting Co. as a newscaster, announcer and writer. He joined U.S. Steel in 1953 and retired in 1982.
