In other action, the supervisors:
• Directed Mr. Luke to draft a resolution clearing the way for the county to accept contributions towards repayment of the $1.5 million literary loan for the high school expansion.
• Set payment at $20 per meeting for the members of the Board of Assessors now working in connection with the ongoing reassessment of county real estate.
• Reappointed Jon Morgan to the Board of Building Appeals.
• Authorized the solicitation of bids for a four-wheel drive vehicle for the sheriffs department.
• Denied the School Board’s request to retain $4,214 derived from an auction of school property and a refund of overpayment towards workers’ , compensation insurance and directed instead that the money be placed in the county’s general ftmd.
• Authorized solicitation of bids on work to remove barriers to the handicapped at the courthouse.
• Asked Mr. McCarthy to investigate the possibility of offering health coverage through the county’s policy to welfare department staff.
