NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given, that the Town Council for the Town of Washington, Virginia will conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday, February 18, 1987 at 8:00 PM in the Courthouse at Washington, Virginia, to consider the following:

1. The adoption of an Ordinance To Impose A Tax On Transient Room Rentals And On Meals Served In Restaurants In The Town Of Washington, Virginia. The amount of said tax is proposed to be two and one-half percent of the purchase [nice of said transient room rental or said meal.

The proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, Monday through Friday, between, the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.

All citizens are invited to attend and present their views. After consideration of the information presented at the Public Hearing, the Town Council will consider the adoption of this Ordinance, and any amendments thereto.

This Notice is being published in The Rappahannock News, a newspaper of general circulation in the County of Rappahannock, Virginia for two successive weeks as required by the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended.
