tification ordinance for Tuesday, Feb. 17, with a public hearing tentatively scheduled for March.

New procedures proposed

John McCarthy, administrative assistant to the supervisors, presented the first draft of rules of procedures for board meetings. By consensus, the supervisors agreed to post the proposed regulations and delay adoption until March to give an opportunity for response.

Under the suggested rules, an agenda will be prepared a week prior to monthly meetings, with copies available at the clerk’s office, the zoning office and the courthouse. In addition, a copy will be provided to The Rappahannock News.

Parties wishing to place items on the agenda must contact the clerk a week before the regularly scheduled meetings. Once the agenda is drawn and posted, additional matters may be presented for consideration at board meetings only with the unanimous concurrence of the supervisors.
