The marriage of Ida Lorraine Hackett and Rubert 0. Updike Jr. took place in an evening ceremony on Dec. 20,1986, at the parsonage of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church near Leesburg. The Rev. William T. Roberts officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Hackett of Marshall. Mr. Updike is the son of Mrs. R. 0. Updike Sr. of Orlean and the late Mr. Updike.
