Berl Atkins
Berl Atha Atkins, 87, of Sperryville, died March 24 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mary Dodson Atkins. His wife was the late Alice Baker Atkins.
Mr. Atkins was a fanner and a member of Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville.
He is survived by three daughters, Janie Atkins, Josephine Alther and Mabel Ralls, all of Sperryville; three brothers, Frank E. Atkins of Sperryville, Ralph A. Atkins of Culpeper and Clyde Atkins of Luray; a sister, Daisy Rosenberry of Front Royal; three half brothers, Virgil Atkins of Wood ville, Lynwood Atkins of Fredericksburg and Wilson Atkins of Culpeper; two half sisters, Vergie Atkins and Pauline Alther, both of Front Royal; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted March 27 at Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church by the Rev. Kirby Shenk. Interment was at Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Alther, Roy A. Alther, Dennis Ralls Jr., Matthew Ralls, Roy A. Alther Jr. and Duane Pullen.
Larry Williams
Larry J. Williams, 34, formerly of Midland, died March 23 in Warrenton.
He is survived by a son Larry, a daughter Deborah, his father Oscar Williams, three brothers, Danny, Earl and Roy Williams, all of Midland, and four sisters, Mrs. Earlene McClouds of Danville, Mrs. Margaret Blue of Midland, Mrs. Nancy Samuels of Amissville and Ms. Juli
