■ Music—live bands or string ensembles can cost from $600-$800. But Boyd says many couples use disc jockeys who play a variety of taped music and charge less. Some d.j.’s will also video tape portions of the reception.
■ Bridal gown—prices for traditional gowns vary widely from hundreds to thousands of dollars. A headpiece alone can cost as much as $300, Boyd says.
