One of the simplest ways to v start a credit record is by opening her own bank account and charge accounts. If the couple has a joint account, it is both spouses’ legal right to have separate files kept on each and to have a credit card issued to each. Beware of having just an authorized-user card since this carries with it no value as a record of credit-worthiness.
