At 2 a.m. Sunday, Daylight Saving Time will begin, unofficially ushering in the summer after-work barbecue and baseball seasons.
DST comes early this year, beginning on the first Sunday in April, instead of the last Sunday as in past years. An Act of Congress, passed earlier this year, established the change.
So, before retiring Saturday night, don’t forget to set the alarm clock and automatic coffee-maker ahead one hour.
You can look forward to making up that lost hour of sleep on Sunday, Oct. 25, when Standard Time returns.
