had a successful day Saturday trout fishing on the Rush River in Harris Hollow. He caught a fine string of rainbow trout a half hour after the noon opening of trout fishing season.
A workshop on crewel embroidery will be held April 13 at Amissville for Home Demonstration Club members or anyone else interested in this craft. The meeting will begin in the educational rooms of Amissville Baptist Church.

The 4-H Horse and Pony
Club met last Monday at Roundabout Farm. The members divided into several groups, and each group was kept busy learning stable management, how to trot, how to take care of a horse and other related things.
The first athletic awards banquet for Rappahannock County High School is scheduled for Saturday, April 15. The dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the elementary school. Mike Bass, cornerback and leading pass interceptor for the Washington Redskins, will be the speaker and all athletes at the high school will be honored. Awards for basketball and cross country will be announced.

are on the Dean’s List at Lord Fairfax Community College for the winter quarter, according to an announcement from Dr. William H. McCoy, president. The Dean’s List is composed of all students who complete at least a 12 quarterhour credit load and achieve at least a 3.2 honor point average.
