This photo, from the Critzer family collection, is believed to have been taken at the Old Stone Inn, Fredericksburg, just prior to the Confederate victory at Chancellorsville in 1863. The two young women are unidentified; they may have been guests at the Inn. Gen. Heterick returned to the family home in Washington, Va., at the war’s end. V
