Tutor training session planned
Donate your time to help others read. The Culpeper Literacy organization is sponsoring a tutor training session on Wednesday, April 15, from 7-9 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church parish hall. You must register before April 13. Pre-registration forms may be obtained by calling 825-8786 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or 547-2700 between 6-9 p.m.
Healing workshop
A workshop in the Ancient Art of Color Healing will be held at the Middle St. Gallery Tuesday, April 14, from 7-9:30 p.m. Fee is $7. Because space is limited early reservations are required. Call Kathleen Maier at 636-3078 for a reservation.
Loan Closet organizational meet
The Rappahannock Loan Closet will have an organizational meeting on Tuesday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the courthouse in Washington. The primary purpose of the group is to lend their equipment to those needing the service. All residents of Rappahannock with a need should contact any Loan Closet member.

Beauty pageant planned
The annual beauty pageant sponsored by the Sperryville Rescue Squad will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Girls between the ages of two and high school seniors and boys between three and six are urged to participate. Rehearsal is set for Friday evening, April 24, at 6:30 at the school.
