Miss Jeanne Woodward, a
senior at Rappahannock County High School, was recipient of the Good Citizenship Award presented by the Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, to an outstanding students Awards were also given to Madison and Culpeper students.
Irvin R. Kenyon Jr., Game Warden, was guest speaker at the meeting last week of the Rappahannock Lions Club. Mr. Kenyon told of the work of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries and discussed today’s plight of Harry the Hunter and Freddie the Fisherman. “Harry is unhappy for lack of hunting territory and Freddie is frustrated because of inadequate streams,” said Mr. Kenyon, and it could get worse even here, as we begin to feel the effect of urban sprawl.
