Mr. Delano said that 92,000 farmers represented by the VFBF are not satisfied with Gov. Baliles’ recommendation that state lottery profits fund his proposed farmers’ market system. “That would be second choice. A lottery is an unknown. We don’t know how much money it will raise, and it would be better to commit now toward the development of a farmers’ market system than it would be to wait and see what the lottery does.”
