Literacy volunteers to meet
The Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers will meet Friday, Feb. 5, at 9:30 a.m. in the Trinity Church Parish Hall. “Anyone from the county who would like to increase his or her reading skills is invited to attend and get an idea of the sort of help we offer freely,” a spokesman for the volunteers said. “And anyone who can read these words is asked to convey this invitation to acquaintances who would benefit from this help. It is the best and probably the only way we can reach those who need to learn to read. ”
NSDAR luncheon meeting
Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will hold a luncheon meeting Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. in the Holiday Inn, Culpeper. The program will be an illustrated talk on Colonial costumes by Mrs. Woodruff Kearns. Mrs. Douglas Fairfax, Regent, will preside.
