Mr. Grimsley was born Jan. 7, 1898, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late William Shelton and Eva Mason Grimsley. He was a former fire warden with the forestry service and an election clerk at Woodville for a number of years. He
was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Surviving are five nieces and one nephew.
A funeral service was conducted Feb. 2 at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
Charles E. Tates
Charles Edward Tates, 54, died Jan. 26 at his home in Marshall.
A lifelong Fauquier farmer, he was born July 9, 1933, in Orlean, son of the late John and Beatrice Corbin Tates.
